We generally choose a form known as hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN). Hexagonal BN is a composite of boron and nitrogen that is both heat and chemically resistant. It is the most robust crystalline type of boron nitride, along with graphite. Since it has a composition identical to graphite, although you will even hear it named “white graphite” since it is white in colour. What is more, hardness of hexagonal BN is similar to graphite, so it is very easily to machine the parts into required shape, only one small tip,machining work should be process in dry conditions with no cooling liquid. Also, visible dust can be created during machining,so wearing mask and goggle is necessary.
Application
1.Used in high voltage and high frequency electric and plasma arc insulator and various heater insulators, heating tube sleeve and high temperature, high frequency, high voltage insulation cooling parts, high frequency application of electric furnace materials.
